Marcus Baskerville, Weathered Souls Brewing Company
We are pleased to announce Marcus Baskerville, head brewer and co-founder of Weathered Souls Brewing Company in San Antonio, Texas will give the 2021 Homebrew Con keynote address.
Pour yourself a Black is Beautiful stout* and tune in Friday, June 18, when Marcus Baskerville will share his craft brewing journey from home to professional brewer, and the creation of the Black is Beautiful Initiative.
Since June 2020, more than 1,200 breweries in 22 countries have committed to brew the Black is Beautiful recipe and support local organizations building positive and equitable communities.
We invite you to brew Black is Beautiful, a moderately-high ABV stout, to sip for the Homebrew Con keynote. This homebrew recipe was designed by Annie Johnson, AHA Governing Committee member and past Homebrewer of the Year, in collaboration with Marcus. If you don’t have time to brew, find a brewery or retailer with the Black is Beautiful stout.
*Registrants have the option to purchase or brew this year’s suggested commemorative beer, Black is Beautiful Imperial Stout by Weathered Souls Brewing Company.
