In partnership with AROXA, Yakima Chief Hops invites you to attend an interactive sensory training during Homebrew Con. Participants will have the opportunity to taste dosed samples featuring six common off flavors found in beer: Diacetyl, Oxidation, Dimethyl Sulfide, Isovaleric Acid, Acetaldehyde and Lactic Acid. After tasting beer samples, the team will discuss basic techniques to prevent these off flavors from forming in your beer. Space is limited. Sourcing the freshest and tastiest fruits, herbs, spices, chocolates, vanillas, and peppers from around the world, we pay meticulous attention to quality and consistency to ensure an impeccable, creative, consistent brew in every barrel. Amoretti will discuss options for infusing beer with fruits, when to add it, and how to determine the amount to use. Demonstration will include sampling of beers made with Amoretti products during production and post fermentation.
